Grr, V+ box keeps rebooting

We had our V+ box installed a few weeks ago, and we love it, but it seems to have a habit of rebooting itself at random. This evening we were trying to watch a recorded program and it kept going off. It rebooted about 10-15 times before eventually starting up, and then lasted about 10 minutes before doing the same again!

Does anyone know what's causing this? I had thought it was overheating but it's on its own shelf with nothing on top of it, and there's air vent in the wall just behind it.

Any ideas?

Possibly bad signal levels on the cable, possibly a bad V+ box.

With bad signal levels, the blue "ONLINE" light might be flashing.

Just phoned tech support and he had never heard of a V+ box continually rebooting like this, so an engineer is coming out. Hopefully a new box will sort it out.

The engineer came this morning to look at the V+ box. He did a reset to run the diagnostics, and just as it was about to come up the box rebooted itself again! At that point he decided just to swap it out.

Fingers crossed the new one will be OK.

Went through the same with my original box at the end of last year. The replacement has been fine, so fingers crossed for you!
