Question Paying for on demand?

I am on the VIP package (so many changes over the last week I've lost track of what I'm paying though).
Most on demand says 'subscribed' and there is no charge for watching it.

Lost series 1 though on 4 on demand is 99p per episode which considering the conflict with Sky I find incredible.

Does anyone get 'Lost' free?

Michael

Unfortunately not, and that's why I would like HD channels instead of HD content VOD 'cause a good staff is not free, for free we are getting documentry movies about nature, but how long we can watch it else?

You should be able to find Lost season 1 for free - it is listed at 99p per episode in 1 catogory (4OD) and free in another - i think its down to the 99p episodes being supplied from 4OD so its really classed it as PPV and the free episodes are virgins assault against sky. anyway instead of being in the category you found it in look in "tv choice on demand" then "drama" the scroll to letter L and it should be there im up to episode 20. there is only 1st season however Virgin are to be adding the other 2 seasons by the summer. Note: alot of existing NTL customers dont seem to be able to find it here either. Hope this helps.

Same here, 99p per episode. Can't find it in any of the other on demand menus.

It must be certain people in certain areas who dont have it yet might be worth giving virgin a call see when you will get it as i definately have every episode from season 1 and it free to watch so might just be a matter of time - aside from phoning them could try a forced update i did this and it updated more content to Virgin Central

if you have the V+ box i have to say i do not know - i did it with the old box and it updated from the telewest epg to the vigin one then tried it few weeks later and more content appeared on virgin central. on the old box held < & > button while powering up but new box doesnt have same buttons so might be worth looking through forum for the answer there. Another thing - i dont have Krakatoa when i go to letter L only lost so might be different depending on area till its all rolled out nationally. sorry i cant help any more.

Re: Paying for on demand?

I'll try the update on my old box (I have both), but I think you are right it is a regional thing - thanks

i think it may also be the updating side of things at virgin - last night i finished watching the season 1 of lost i can view free and being the cliff hanger ending i thought id just go watch 1st episode of season 2 on the 4OD section @ 99p only to find its no longer there - season 1 is there still at 99p each and there is 3 seasons of desperate housewives and ugly betty so i think its down at virgin as well as area.
