Which of these phones are best?
I have been looking for a new mobile and im quite interested in some of threes offerings, especially some of the deals of the month.
The Nokia 6280r and the LG u400 are the ones I have been looking at and was wondering wich is better.
So basicly I am looking for wich is best of those two phones or if neither of them are any good wich tarif or network is best for roughly £15 per month (Cash/Chequebacks considered) with a better free phone?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Wich of these phones are best?
I don't like any of those phones but from the reviews, seems like the LG U400 is the one to go for.

Don't know what the LG is like, but I have a 6280 as a work phone - dull and slow IMO. Don't bother. Get an SE instead.

Re: Wich of these phones are best?
I've been using a 6280 since November and it's absolutely awesome - but make sure it has the latest firmware (mine is V5.92 - earlier versions had problems with bugs and a slow interface). It has the best video capture on any current phone and has been completely reliable. I've now moved on to a Vario 2 simply because the personal organiser on the 6280 was a bit boring and I need a quality one for work, but other than that I can't recommend it enough.

Re: Wich of these phones are best?
So a bit of a mixed view so far, we have 1 half hearted vote for the LG, 1 for the Nokia and 1 for neither
OB, do you recommend any SE in particular? I have been looking at the new W880I But the cheapest contract I have found it on is about £35 and thats with chequebacks. My Girlfriend has the W810I wich I bought her for Christmas, she absoluteley loves it and its in my budget but im wondering if I should be looking at something more modern since that phones almost 1 1/2 - 2 years old now.
NoKnowledge, Do you have any recommendations of your own?

The W850i is free with O2online on £25 a month? The review site I use and the phone itself is here. HTH
edit - I believe it was released in Oct 06, so only a few months old.

Re: Wich of these phones are best?
Firstly, Do you really want to go with 3?
I like the SmartPhones, it seems this is the way forward but each to their own type of thing - you either like it or don't.
I also use that review site mention in OBs post and also mobile-review and infosyncworld.
I never owned a SE (Nokia4eva2K7 ) but some people say when they are texting on a SE there is a slight delay but others don't mention this (depends if you really notice this type of thing, I suppose). The new SE W950i and the M600i look like nice phones but you might not. Also the K800i got nice reviews but most people from phone forums inc. me are waiting for Nokia's N95
For SmartPhones reviews and news I use allaboutsymbian. Hope this helps and maybe change yer mind a little...lol.

Re: Wich of these phones are best?
I had an LG on my last contract and it kept crashing, I have a Nokia 6280 now and its a great piece of kit... Nokia Software is more stable...Just look around you and see what others are using, pay special attention to the kids as they always seem to know the best phones...

M600i I have to admit is a bit pants - I trialled it at work....
I've had SE as my personal phone brand of choice, and I love them.

Re: Wich of these phones are best?
If you have to use a SE, get on Tmobile, no-one can beat their Flext plans. For £35 per month you get £120 to spend on your bill each month.

Ahhh. I wanted this or the W950i to be my next phone but if you say it's pants then I take your word which means they are both pants as they are both the same minus the walkman features.
So I guess Nokia it is for me, but which one?
Also to anyone who doesn't know yet, the NEW Nokias' firmware can be updated via the Nokia support website.

I'd give the W950i a go - it's got rave reviews...

I have a vario 2. I did initially have problems with the phone crashing (sometimes 2 or 3 times a day), but doing a factory reset cured those (must have changed something I shouldn't have).
The only things I don't like on it are Active Sync, the battery life and the camera (bad in low light, even with the flash).

Though if you need or even just want a camera you should steer clear as it doesn't have one. Its also a little pricey.
Just to add to my initial criteria......
I'm not dead set on 3, i just like that thier rates are as advertised and not via some form of redemption deal.
I would like to go no higher than £20 per month, £15 is preferred.
Some of the other phones i have looked at and like are......
SE W810I, W880I, W950I.
Samsung D900, E900.
Just most of those cost more than i'd ideally like to pay per month. plus i keep hearing mixed reviews about all of the above.
Im open to anything for the right price if its a good phone with a reasonable tarrif for the price.
I am also going to have a look, at that review site tomorrow when i can get back on my main PC as im stuck on my PDA at the moment.
