Dynamode - Wireless Network Kit

When it's payday, I think I'll be purchasing this wireless router, to go with my new Virgin Media installation which is happening on Wednesday. However, I've found no positive reviews on it around the forum, and was wondering if anyone had the router and could share some of their positive experiences with it? Or is it just worth forking out the extra ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£20 and getting a Linksys or Netgear router, as I currently already have a Belkin G USB Wireless Network Adapter.

I'm kinda strapped for cash (girlfriend's birthday next week, don't remind me.

) and would see buying a more expensive Router (e.g. Linksys and Netgear) as a last resort.

Well worth paying the extra money for a more well known make, I had to mess around with a Dynamode router today and it wasn't my favourite piece of kit ever let's just say that.

as you have the adaptor already, i'd go for this linksys model:

and just sell/ dump the pcmcia card, unless you have a use for it.

The first link to eBuyer is the Linksys, not the Dynamode. Not exactly the most aesthetically pleasing piece of kit, is it?

And would my Belkin USB adapter work seamlessly with the Linksys router? For peace of mind, what about this Belkin router?

Have no use for the PCMCIA card, laptop is already wireless enabled.

Yeah, but Netgear's damn expensive. I do like the white though. Hmm. Which Netgear router would I have to buy?

And am I right in thinking it is only a router, and will have to plug into the modem, which then plugs into the cable-line? I'm so used to wireless modem/routers with BT/AOL.

Yeah you're right the Modem connects to the Router via an Ethernet Cable, you need to look for a Cable/DSL Router.

At the moment I have a Dynamode, Linksys and Belkin routers to choose from.

Don't really want to spend anything over ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£40.

So yeah, got a choice of the four above. I'm leaning toward the Belkin because my wireless adapter is also Belkin, however Linksys has been recommended by you guys and it's cheaper.

What'dyou reckon? Will the Linksys work well with my Belkin adapter?

Anyone any ideas?
