BT Exchange reporting problem until March

im not sure if someones posted this already but my BT exchange is now reporting this

"Upgrade Status
Status: Green
Good News, BT have finished enabling this exchange for Max DSL products.
Products will be available from 31/03/06.
BT are in the process of upgrading the majority of telephone exchanges around the UK to support speeds of up to 8Mbit/s.

The status given here is an estimate given by BT on 31/03/06

Many of the exchanges are red and amber at the moment due to the fact that until the main roll out is well commenced BT will not finalise the dates as they want to ensure that any unforseen issues will not affect dates. We will publish the updated info when and as we get it. The roll out is still fully commited too, as previously commented upon, and the info will be with you as soon as possible."

Im not sure if this means vast speeds will be forthcoming .. but it does mean ... i can't complain much until after this date

Erm, that took place last year...... 31/03/06 it says.

AFAIK, most Exchanges were "ADSL Max" enabled last year.

Re: BT Exchange reporting all to be well soon

yep just noticed its 2006 not 2007 .. why are BT holding retrospective stuff on their website

when virgin themselves told me the systems are being upgraded within a month or so to cope with the demand .. hence why I was slightly hoodwinked by this

Sorry ... doh

however on another pages its reporting:

"BT is reporting that some of the virtual paths at this exchange are not operating within BT Wholesale's planning guidance, although they are still operating within the product specification.

At busy times, your ADSL connection may operate at a reduced speed, although not all customers on your exchange may be affected. You should only contact support if there is no current ETA date set.

The ETA fix time is: 16 Mar 07

Record last updated: 26 Feb 07"
