What to do with these?

while i was at work today doing the unusual afernoon tidy up, me and my mate went to empty the bin at the skip and found a suprise. the IT company next door to our unit had thrown from what i could see was 10-15 and possably more (budget, no psu) atx cases. now these are virtually brand new unopened boxes and the cases still in the wrappers. so as you do we helped ourselves to a few (i had 4 and mate had 3, all we could fit in our cars. although i've now only got 2).

now was having the idea of building one to toy with but have not long built a new one for myself, so any ideas?

a. to hell with it and build another new one with e4300/6300 and such alikes (risking the wrath of the missus as we're moving in a few weeks).

b. get on her good side and rebuild my old p4 system with a new case for her so she can't bugger up my baby?

c. go mad and have a bit of a case modding adventure?

d. any other ideas

ps. i've only got the two left as i said because i told couple of the site lads that i work with and as they got to the skip.....the caretaker had started to compact the skip and the others were mashed so i let them have one each as felt a tad guilty (how am i gonna explain that to her indoors, bringing home more crap than we're throwing out).

Re: What to do with these?

Well if you don't need a PC and she doesn't want one built and you have parts gathering dust you could always throw a basic unit together without OS and give it to a local charity shop

Re: What to do with these?

Given the cases are budget without PSU, I would just practice case modding.

Its a lot cheaper than building a computer (and safer than risking the wrath of the missus), but also its a skill that could come in handy late and possible earn some money out of.
