How much a minute for this support line?

Hi guys

I have an email issue and have been told through email that I should phone NTL to get it sorted. That's fine but I'm wondering how much a minute it will cost, does anybody know please?

The support no:
0871 225 1111

Re: How much a minute for this support line?

Well I'm not happy.

I went through to 150 and I guessed this would happen, they put me through to technical support which was 10p a minute. I was on the phone for 29 minutes and still my problem with the email has not been sorted out.
And that was £2:90 for the call.

Might be an idea to post here what the problem is and see if any one can help you with it

Re: How much a minute for this support line?

What's the issue? Maybe one of the NTL bods (or one of us non-NTL techies) on here can help.

(Looks like an echo on here, Jules )

Well I asked him how much it will be a minute and he told me 10p.

I'm not sure if anybody can help Jules to be honest.

I was able to sign into my account on the ntlworld.com webpage but when I tried to sign into my email username and passwords would not work. The tech guy has also tried and it does not work.
He's changed my password for now but like I told him I could not even sign into my account now at all.

He said to wait a few hours....so I'm waiting.

What service are you connected to (ADSL or Cable)?

If it works on webmail, what doesn't work - Outlook Exp, Thunderbird?
When you put in the username in an email client, such as OE, you need to leave off the @ntlworld.com, eg for email "king.aragorn@ntlworld.com", username = king.aragorn
Apologies if you already know this!

Yeah "sighs", I have tried it all ways.

Before I called ntl: I could sign into my account at ntlworld.com fine but I could not sign into the webmail at the ntlworld.com homepage.

Now after: I can not sign into my ntlworld.com account on the homepage.

Fair do's to the tech who did get me to configure the account through my outlook express which I knew how to do that but I am getting the yellow error.

Maybe I just have to wait a while like he said.
