New PC / ABIT AB9 board
Can anyone give me a 100% answer as to whether this board has Firewire connectors to hook up to my case's front panel.
The Abit site says yes but custom PC says no... anyone got one?
planning to build a C2D pc based on this board with a 6300, overclocked... using an Arctic Cooling Pro 7 fan, 2GB DDR2 RAM and a couple of seagate 7200.10 SATA HDD's
Need to find a decent Graphics card, sub £100 - passively cooled quiet one if possible - only play stuff like BF2 / DOD Source etc - any suggestions?
me sits back and waits for Zing

Re: New PC / ABIT AB9 board
If its a PRO version it has 2 Firewire ports according to Overclockers, PCPro and Hexus, although Overclockers also has it as having 2 x Firewire ports on the non pro version too as does Komplett.

do they do a silent version of either? if not then what would the increase in performance be like? - always been an Nvidia fanboy but am open to using ATI... just don't want my case to sound like a small plane....

Re: New PC / ABIT AB9 board
the ati card is pretty good but you would be better off paying 140 for the full x1800xt as far a quiet versions you can simply add a quieter fan which would be better than a passive cooled card imo Same thing applies to the 7600GT other coolers can be fitted.
