I managed to get the ByteVariety virus through Java and I am told the way to get rid of it is to clean the caches within the Java control panel. This I have now done but the virus remains, located (and embedded) within a programme called Killbox and I now need to know how to remove the virus off my system from within that programme.
If I was you, I'd just delete the infected file you have, and download a non-infected version.
You can grab it from here... http://spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/ (the site is maintained by the guy who wrote HiJack This, so I doubt his version is infected) or from public download sites such as Softpedia, download.com, etc...
