Freeview / Telewest Conflict
I have a frieview tv but when I put the aerial cable through the Telewest STB the five multiplex vanishes from the TV as if the STB filters it out. All other multiplexes are okay. This prevents me transmititing the STB signal around the house easily.

Re: Freeview / Telewest Conflict
You probably need to change the RF output frequency of the STB. This is fairly easily done for most boxes -- what model have you got?

Re: Freeview / Telewest Conflict
Try this: on the front panel of the box, press OK, Right and TV at the same time. The LCD display should change to show the current RF channel. Use channel up and channel down to change it, then press OK to save the new value.
If that doesn't work, there is another way, but it's possible to break things so try this first.

Re: Freeview / Telewest Conflict
How do you watch the STB? Via the scart?
If so then just plug the aerial lead directly into the TV, rather than the STB.

Re: Freeview / Telewest Conflict
The STB is via the scart, but if I plug the aerial into the TV It will not transmit the STB signal around the house to the other TV's. I currently do this through the video player signal, but that means when the kids are watching a video/dvd I cant watch the STB in another room.

Re: Freeview / Telewest Conflict
Split the TV aerial feed prior to the STB and feed only your DTT TV with one half and the STB (and rest of house) with the other half.

You aren't an easy man to keep happy are you?
OK then you will have to do what Tristan suggests and retune your STB's UHF output. Not sure what the shortcut is to allow you to do it though.

Re: Freeview / Telewest Conflict
I gave you the buttons in the wrong order, sorry. Apparently it has to be:
On the front of the box, press and hold TV, then press and hold OK (whilst still holding TV), then finally press Right.
Hopefully it'll work!
