New sw on STB, improved BBCi?

Just got back from a week's holiday. On switching on the STB, I got a blue panel on the screen announcing that my box had been upgraded, and that I might notice some differences to the channel guide. I didn't really notice any changes, until I tried pressing the red button on News 24 (1st time I've tried that for a long time). From the initial BBCi menu, I selected sports, and the worlds athletics championships highlights. This indeed allowed me to view some highlights, but sadly with no audio. When I pressed the "TV" button to go back to normal viewing, the audio for the highlights briefly appeared, and then the STB reverted to normal TV.

Last time I tried BBCi, it was a text and graphics-only service (no video).

Anyone know if this apparent improvement to BBCi is a consequence of the STB sw upgrade? Any idea if there are any other improvements that I've not yet discovered? Anyone know how to get the audio to work on BBCi video services?

I'm in the Thames Valley, BTW. High Wycombe, to be precise.

BBCi multi-screen has been available in most areas for a while now. It would have been in your area long before this last software upgrade - I believe Langley areas saw these features for the first time around a year ago when the software first turned blue, starting with either Wimbledon 2004, or Euro 2004 if I remember rightly.
