Question The Sims on XP - different profiles etc?

Hello, Now that we have a faster PC, the kids want the Sims reinstalling (not V2) so I have gone out & got another original 1st Sim because the only one we had was a bad copy, so now it's all legit.

We also have Unleashed, Hot Date, On Holiday, Superstar, Making Magic & living it up expansion packs, all legit originals.

The PC (well capable of it) is using XP Pro & different user accounts/desktops.

The kids do not have admin rights.

Ergo, it will not run unless admin rights are assigned.

I see from what little I can find online, that I can either setup an admin account or that they right click & chooses run as.
Either way, they get to know the admin account password.

This I do not like, I'm happy enough to let them have access to an admin account if I could totally lock it sop that it only plays certain games & does not give access to anything else or to be able to right click & run as admin if I could get it to save the password.
Or for them to have the admin account password if I could remove just the admin account from the login screen.

(ps - I have made a "games" account with admin privileges for all this).

Has anyone any suggestions please?

I really, really do not, never now how trust my daughter & youngest lad with admin rights, neither do I want them able to browse & find my porn

ps, have tried registering with the EA forums, but have not got my auth email yet, taking ages.

Ahhh tis why we do not have the childrens computer connected to the internet. Avoids this problem alltogether. XP is somewhat rigid in its interpretation of what is needed to run games especially on non admin accounts.

There's a 'fix' for this (or could be just for Sims 2). I remember downloading the update which gave all users permission to use the game without being an administrator. Check with the Sims Site.
