Re: Cleaning DVDs ???
Optical cleaning cloth, wipe from the centre outwards in straight lines. If really bad try nail varnish remover on a thin cotton pad leaving no dry areas on the pad.

Re: Cleaning DVDs ???
I just use warm water with a bit of washing up liquid in it - just make sure you wash all the soap off and drain them. Never failed me yet.

do check that it is pure acetone, though - any 'nail conditioner' additives may leave a deposit. I would prefer to use iso-propyl alcohol, rather than acetone.
- iso-propyl alcohol is often sold as 'anti static' fluid, but the best place to get it is your local chemist - they may list it as isopropanol.

I've found that works great with pressed CD/DVD disks, but never wanted to take a risk with writeable ones, in case they delaminated - I presume you havn't had that happen ?

I don't have many writable dvd's so never tried it - but I have cleaned a few writable cd's like this over the years without any ill effects.
