Am I in a Telewest area?

I have moved into a recently converted 1st floor flat (I'm the first tennant) whilst every other house on my street is eligible for Telewest, my flat is only eligible for analouge services. This seems odd to me and I was wondering if there was a reason for it or if it may be possible to have the position re-evaluated.

I don't own the flat so was also wondering if I would need a wayleave form from the owner

Re: Am I in a Telewest area?

Is it all the flats or just yours? You say the other houses are but you don't mention the other flats

Welcome to the forum by the way

Re: Am I in a Telewest area?

Thank you, its a main street of terraced housing with a lot of shops, we live in a newly renovated building above a shop. Before it was a shop with a maisonette but is now two new flats above the shop.

It seems to be my whole building that is not eligible but all other buildings including their respective flats are.

Re: Am I in a Telewest area?

No the postcode checker on thier site told me,then when i then called the customer service they put in my address in their system and told me the same thing - and i couldn't get any further with them hence this post,
I am hoping to find a way to get my situation looked at because it seems like a database issue rather than a physical one (but I'm no expert) and want to be sure before looking at other avenues as telewest is my first choice for a provider

Re: Am I in a Telewest area?

Definitely a database issue as your postcode will be the same as around 15 other nearby properties, and as you say they all have Telewest services.

Re: Am I in a Telewest area?

So assuming that is the case, who do I need to speak to to get it looked at and start installation?

Re: Am I in a Telewest area?

Hi,

You need to speak to direct sales who should be able to arrange a "spotter" to check the service availabilty. You will need to get your landlord to fill in a wayleave to allow telewest to install their services at your current address.
