Help needed
I'm new this forum,so I'm hoping for some help.
I've just upgraded digital Tv with NTL, with a Pace 4010 stb.
For some reason the bypass fillter attached to the back of the box seems
to stop the decoded signal from the stp from being sent to my coxial tv
network.
I.e with the wire connected to the ira socket I have channels 1-5 but no
decoded channel.
With the wire to ira socket out, i have decoded channel but poor picture/
no picture from channels 1-5.
The network is set up after the stb and work perfectly fine with analoge
Can anyone help?

sorry to start with a couple of questions - first off, how did you have it connected up when on analogue, my analogue box is RF out, only, for example.
second, what are the connectors on the 'bypass filter' - are they both F-type or both ordinary coax, or one of each?

Re: Help needed
To answer Paul first I have no idea if it has an analogue pass thu, I have
no user instrutions for the stb.
Homealone, the old analogue unit had just one RF out, I cabled from that to
a F-type splitter, one out goes to the TV in the living room, the second out is
cabled to an active splitter in th loft from there to the upstairs stairs TV's.
The bypass filter has one of each type, RF in, coxail out

Re: Help needed
The 4010 does have an internal aerial combiner, but that isn't relevant if you have an external bypass fitted.
I suspect the STB's RF output frequency is clashing with one of the analogue channels. What town are you in Keith?

Re: Help needed
Hi Spiderplant, I live in Basingstoke, and the stb is set to RF 65.

Ok, so it's not a frequency clash. Faulty bypass perhaps?

Re: Help needed
Is the by pass the one stuck on the back with the lead to the boxes RF out, and another to one of the IR blaster holes?

Yes, that sounds like it. Is this the cause of the problem?

No, that's how it's meant to be connected.
