Program guide (MTV)

It's probably more MTV's fault than NTL (since I guess they give them the listings) but the program guide for MTV seems to be completely wrong in the daytime at the moment. MTV is the only channel I've noticed it on but there may be others as well..

It's not a problem, just a mild irritation!

Anyone else spotted it?

Re: Program guide (MTV)

I have had a mjor problem with this today. None of the EPG is up to date onscreen and I'm having major problems with the picture freezing.

Tried a reboot and at the moment, the box won't even start up properly. It says it is updating the service with "nit" displayed on the box. Any idea's whats up?

Re: Program guide (MTV)

I don't have a problem with the EPG as such (apart from the bi-daily reboots) but its just out-of-date and just plain wrong program info.

Re: Program guide (MTV)

I found that a couple of tv guides seem to show the same things as the epg, but different to xzibit and his crappy cars, actually on the channel.

Re: Program guide (MTV)

It's wrong on loads of channels. XFM is usually wrong. MTV2 in the afternoons is usually wrong.

IIRC, ntl listings are done via a third party. Don't the broadcasters themselves update the listings on Sky/DTT? Maybe this is where the problem occurs? (Over on DS about a year ago someone from the 3rd party company signed up and asked for people to report inaccurate data. He disappeared after about a week it seemed)
