Not Subscribed? I am!! (Channel loss)

As of this morning I've found that both the STB's in our house have lost a large number of channels with the 'not subscribed' message being displayed.
Ch1,2,3,4,5 and various others do work (Nick Toons, Sky 1, ITV2 (but not ITV3)). But tons more do not work- UKGold, Discovery, most shopping channels. As I know that channels like 5, Nick Toons, etc do not come through without a subscription it does seem like some sort of fault.
Anyone else having issues? I'm in Nottingham area.

It sounds like your stb needs a set of 'signals' sent to it to basically refresh it, yours is one of the more common faults we get. Just double check you have the card in the bottom slot with the gold chip facing downwards. If that's all correct call faults now, they're open til 8pm. Let us know how you get on, good luck!

sorry i miss read that, if you still have some channels it's unlikely to be the card, but the call to faults and the signals still apply

Question Re: Not Subscribed? I am!! (Channel loss)

Have you tried turning the STBs off for approx 1 min and turning them back on?

Spoke to CS and was told our account had been 'downgraded' (i.e. cut off for non payment). Spoke to billing who sorted it out. For the past 3 months we'd been trying to set up a direct debit due to a bank account change. Each month we have ended up having to pay with credit card cause they can't get it sorted out. Sorted the internet account no problem (seperate account) but tv/telephone has taken many calls until last week we finally got a letter saying it was set up ok. Then we get cut off! They say it was the 'crap' system that just auto kills non-paying accounts.
We're not best pleased I can tell you!
