Help please!!

Hey all, i have a problem with my Pace DI4001N. I was watching telly, then went to the toilet, came back, my box said tune!!! It suddenly went to the bootup screen, but then i just rebooted the box. It said pace, then tune like normal. But then it sayed on tune for 5 seconds, then went to nlt for 10 seconds, then went back to tune, so i left it and its still like it.. What could be wrong??

Thanks for reading

Re: Help please!!

hi

I don't know whether any of the info in the link will help

http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/article.php?a=25

especially the 'hold the down button while rebooting' tip, which helps to lock onto a marginal signal.

Re: Help please!!

Hello,
Check you smartcard.Does it look burnt?
It could be many things but more possibly is the signal levels on the stb were too high or too low at install & the box has had enough!
Did the tech check the levels with a meter?if the pics have been freezing, pixilating(looking like a peice of a jigsaw),thats more than likely the fault.
Does the stb get hot above the card?
As a tech,i've came across this many times, the only fix is a level check & possibly a new box.
