Acca + Ntl

Hi there,

I read the news post on the main website regarding the deal that the ACCA has made with ntl to outsource all of its networking infrastructure and I feel very uncertain how this would end up. I am an ACCA student, not like it really matters I just feel as if they're taking a step in the wrong direction with the quality of service ntl provides?

ntl's VISP business does very well in terms of network backbone, Tesco and Virgin use ntl's backbone to great success, although Virigin.net is wholly owned by ntl now.

I would imagaine that ACCA have secured a good service level agreement, so any possible network disruption would be dealt with quickly.

Can you provide a link to that article please? Never mind, I found it.

Re: Acca + Ntl

Don't confuse the core network with the access / HFC network.

Core network is probably the best in the UK, massively resilient, extremely well specified with always plenty of bandwidth to spare.

You'll be pretty safe.
