Unhappy Nokia ringtones

I have just been asigned a nokia 6610i mobile for work. How do I get a traditional ringtone on it? All that is on it is those hideous ones you hear going off on irritating train passengers phones and so on.

I was looking for one of those tones that sound like an old phone that you used to see in old american films - (I once heard a taxi drivers phone with that on).Apreciate any help

I don't know how it all works really. I think I may have to end up paying to download something, which I suspect is something to do with why standard ringtones don't come as standard on the darn things

Re: Nokia ringtones

If it's a fancy phone then it will most likely have a voice recording/memo function.

Why not record a phone ringing then use that as your ring tone.

Re: Nokia ringtones

Have a look on www.myt610.com - all the ringtones and wallpapers are free and there's a search facility, I'm sure I've seen a traditional 'ring ring' there somewhere.

edit - try this one.

Re: Nokia ringtones

Update: Can't access WAP for some reason. Tried to register on the orange site but they are having / have had technical problems all day - even up till now. I thought I might have to activate something on there. Ah well. Will give it a go in a couple of days
