Personally Im glad we are not going to sign up to the consitution,
Being a UKIP (UK independent) party member I have read up quite a bit on the consitution and what it will mean from Britian,
Let me supply you with some of the few worrying snippets :-
Article 10 of the draft EU constitution states †œEU law takes primacy over national lawââ‚ ¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â?
Now knowing full well, the Queen, in giving royal assent to any Act purporting to bind Britain to the EU Constitution places her in breach of her coronation oath, in turn robbing the House of Commons of its ultimate authority to override EU laws.
Furthermore it deviods any need for a vote on the EURO if we sign up to the EU consitution :-
Article 5.2 "Member states shall facilitate the achievement of the union's tasks and refrain from any action which could jeopardise [them]".
Article 14.1 says "The union shall adopt measures to ensure the co-ordination of economic policies of member states".
Article 15.2: "Member states shall actively and unreservedly support the union's common foreign and security policy in a spirit of loyalty and mutual solidarity". how will this affect our defence policy
I am also disgusted that our local Councils are spending OUR money funding the Regional Assemblies. These are unlected political bodies with no mandate and doing this councils are saying they are "monitoring" the way these bodies spend our money
Yet they continue to promote the yes vote in breach of funding gulation set down by the councils themselves.
Lancaster county council has already withdrawn its funding from the North West Regional Assembly.
Oh and lets not forget these Europhilles in Brussels havent got a clue when it comes to double entry book keeping, they have just been proven to have wasted hundred of millions which have dissapeared unaccounted for.
Add to this things like
------------------------------------------
European Shellfish Water Directive :-
One of the reasons why our water bills will be going up 71% here over the next 5 years
If asked I will elaborate.
--------------------------------
One of the main reasons the Post office is going through such foreced changes:-
"The social partners, within the framework of Joint Committee on Postal Services, drafted a framework agreement on the promotion of employment in the sector. The text was agreed at a meeting of the Joint Committee on 26 March 1998 with the support of the European-level trade union federations and of the employers from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and the UK. The official signing of the text took place in connection with a conference of the Joint Committee on 29 October 1998."
In the text all EU member states are forced to :-
" be ready for the liberalised European Union market for postal services by 2005"

The current country wide aim to fluoridate the country is down to the fact that we cant dispose of the byproduct from aliminium processing.Sodium fluoride (the by product) has been targeted to be added to our water supplies instead because it is "claimed" it is good for less than 1% of the population.
