Re: Tsunami Donations really important!
That's really sad news Millay
I have slightly renamed and stuck this topic so people can quickly find the donation site.

Re: Important: Tsunami Donations
Im amazed at how generous people are being with this. I know it is important but people can be so selfish nowadays its supprising how generous and selfless people are when it comes to this.
In my bucket today when emptying it from the end of the till there where £5, £10 & £20 notes in there aswel as loads of pound coins. Not just the usual pennies and five pence pieces you normally see.

Re: Important: Tsunami Donations
Chucked a few quid its way yesterday - i just hope it gets used responsibly - i would hate to think its partially wasted.
Edit: Millay - really sorry to hear that - my condolences. I had some friends out there too but fortunately for me (and them) they are OK.
Best wishes mate.

Re: Important: Tsunami Donations
Made our donation - don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box at the top before you fill anything else in - might as well get the tax man to do his bit as well.
Sorry to hear your news Millay

Re: Important: Tsunami Donations
I had to wait until today(payday) to donate.
Every shop, bank, building society has boxes out as well.So if you have already donated online you can still push your spare coppers in the boxes.I've got loads of those stashed around the house.

Re: Important: Tsunami Donations
Sorry to hear of your friend Millay, like many others on here I've been down to the local Oxfam shop to give them a load of kids clothes that ours had grown out of, also went to ASDA in Mansfield and dropped £10 in their collection box.

Re: Important: Tsunami Donations
Apparently DEC have stopped accepting donations as they've already got more than £300 MILLION from the British public!
They've spent £100 million already on helping survivors.
I just want to say a great big well done to everyone who's donated something.
I'm damn proud of you all!
