Hi, you might remember me from such great threads as Just what do I have to do...? or I just knew this would happen.

Well... Here we go with Update '05

Despite wanting to wait until NTL sent us a bill, MrsD made me ring them up and tell them that we didn't want an NTL line anymore. I spoke to someone who was very apologetic, and indeed my phoneline was actually discontinued within 24 hours.

One month later...

I'm sitting here, and my old phone (I hadn't bothered unplugging it) started ringing. It's a flipping American "You've won a prize" call.

So I ring my old number... Nope, no ringing tone. So I rang my BT line from the NTL phoneline, did a 1471, and lo and behold... I have another NTL phone number

Apart from dining out for an entire year on this, any suggestions as to how I can use this unsolicited reconnection of a phoneline?
