Deleting files from webspace

Hi all,another dumb question to all you who know your onions.Is there any way to delete your uploads /files from your webspace.I have downloaded them to my hard drive so they are safe.These are old files from a year or two ago when I first started tinkering with a very basic HTML webpage.Thanks in advance.

Are you using a specific FTP program ?, if so which one.

In general, there should be a "delete" button ...

just log into your webspace and delete them in there

depends on what you are using

if using internet explorer for ftp go:

ftp://username@upload.ntlworld.com/

(enter your ftp username where it says username)

then enter your password when prompted (if you still know it)

once logged in just right click on the unwanted items and delete, or just click and press the delete button

Thanks for both of your replies but I can't try out your suggestions as i cannot access my webspace at the moment

Same with E-mail as in the other threads

I am using this ftp freeware programme which was suggested to me on another forum.

I have been trying all day to get my webspace working just to find out there a problem...see server status

Hey Nostra ,thanks for the tip it worked a treat, all the files are now deleted.

Havn't got round to seeing if I can delete with my ftp yet Nemesis, thats next on the list
