New COO for NTL/Telewest

Hopefully with the appointment of Stephen Burch as the new COO, with his experience in the cable industry, hopefully now NTL/Telewest will be lead by someone who has a focus and a proper knowledge of what is needed to make NTL/Telewest work as proper cable/telecomms provider.

Uptill now we have had a succession of people leading the company who's aim hasn't bee totally focused or having the real knowledge of how a cable/telecomms company works.

Most of the directors ect have come from a background in finance ect, so they may know how to make the figures look good, but as for the running of a Communications company like NTL i'm not so sure.

Re: New COO for NTL/Telewest

Stephen Burch hasn't been appointed COO, that's Neil Berkett. Stephen Burch is the new CEO, replacing Simon Duffy who steps down to become Executive Vice-President.

However, I agree with your main thrust - there are exciting times ahead!
