Re: Samsung Digital Boxes - VCR Connection

What's happening is that your video is sending a picture through the SCART lead connected to it, which passes through the STB (as it's designed to) and then to the TV.

Most videos do this when you press "play" (which is what it's designed for), but some do it any time they're not on standby. There should be an option in the VCR menus to change this behavior.

Re: Samsung Digital Boxes - VCR Connection

Swap the 2 scart sockets over and It should be fine, AFAIK the samsung should work the same as the pace box and should have a VCR scart and a TV scart. This stops the tv switching the AV of the VCR whilst its recording etc.

However since I no longer work for ntl they may do things differently now?
