Cheers for the replies chaps. Yep, I've reported it to NTL, (granted, after I posted here), The card is OK and they spiked the line. Nothing seems to have happened and I'm awaiting a call back to arrange an engineer. Looks like my STB is foobar.
BTW, credit where it's due, once I got through to NTL after 25 mins, they were very helpfull,
and they called me back when they promised to.
Thanks again, I'll keep you posted, but it looks like I've got no telly for the w/e
