Constant Upload

Hi all

My cable modem seams to be uploading all the time, when i look at the icon in windows explorer it shows that it is constantly sending but the recieved is 0

any one got any ideas on y

Well you should check that you dont have anything running in the background or any adware/spyware that could be loading in the background.
Perform a virus and adware scan.

It is normal for there to be some activity going on as your PC and cable modem talk to the network but this should not be constantly so check there is nothing else accesing the net.

AdAware, SpyBot. If you've downloaded and ran both of those (which check for spyware), and everything comes back OK, that's fine.

Are you running a firewall and anti-virus software?

If you've got no viruses, you're fine. It just means that your computer is talking to your cable modem.
