Question Switching channels!

Hi, i know this may sound mad but its happened a couple of times now. Taping Unbreakable on itv2 last night and after 1.5 hours it changes to a different channel! Went from 117 to 119 i think......and when i was testing this morning it did it again. I was watching 101 and it just jumped to channel 5 (105 i think).!! What the !
Can anyone help?

Re: Switching channels!

most strange indeed
did the box just change itself with no press of the remote keys etc even those that just show now n next etc
it might be the remotes batteries if u pressed a button other than those to change channels if its the stb that ghost changed its own channel with nothing u'd done causing it I would call CS & tell them yr box is not working correct ok

do try replacing the batteries in the remote to rule out that? check for other remotes that might cause this ?, Maybe sunlight [yeah what sun] might be cause? anyways i hope you find a solution soon.

Re: Switching channels!

Hi and thanks! I'll try the batteries thing! It happened at about 11.30 pm when unbreakable was on. I was inbed asleep. The next day i went downstairs and switched on the tv. Thought "this isn't itv2!"(which is what i was trying to tape)", so rewinded the tape and it had changed channel about 30 mins from end. Moan* thats the second time i've missed it now*.Anyway the second time was a few days later and i think it was early in the morning. The girlfriend and me were in the kitchen making brekkie... the tv was on and we were sort of watching the news...then it jumped to channel 5....the remote was sitting on the chair on its own...no pets nothing.....weird......we just thought bloody thing and had to walk back in and switch it back..
Any way...sorry for the ramble.....

Re: Switching channels!

Do you have any fluorescent lights/energy saving bulbs?

These can affect IR too.

Re: Switching channels!

The only other infra red items about are the usual items every one has, dvd video tv etc.......remember it was at night time so all of my lights will have been off. I was asleep when it happened...
