Not legally, no.

When you say you are an NTL customer, I'm assuming seeing as you don't already have a STB that you are an internet-only customer? Because if you sign up for digital TV, the STB is free, and unlike with $ky it remains the property of NTL, which means it's free to replace when it b0rks, no matter how old it is.

AFAIK you can plug the output from a STB into your PC and continue to watch TV on your computer if you want.

Right. Well, in that case, unless I'm very much mistaken, the answer is 'not legally'. Software capable of cracking encoded DTV might well be out there, but as we're a legal, family-orientated website, we won't be allowing any links to be posted here.

Of course, if someone knows different and can point to a legal way of doing it, then by all means, post on.

Re: software descrablmers?

So how would NTL upgrade or downgrade your channels if you didn't have an STB?
