NTL New menu

Ever since NTL switched on their new menu system earlier this year, we have been experiencing problems with the set top box. Basically, every so often (and depending on how many times the menu is used), we get a message box stating that the 'set top box is experiencing an issue.' It then suggests pressing the Select button to rectify this. We press the select button the box switches itself off and on. I have called NTL a couple of times and on the first occasion was told that a setting was wrong on my account and then the second time, I was asked to sit in front of my tv while they did something from their end. I couldnt do this because I was at work. These symptoms are getting more and more common and to be honest, am on the verge of ditching NTL.

I am interested to know if I have been unlucky or if this is a general issue.

Re: NTL New menu

Search the term 'baukm'

Your're not alone

Ive never heard a permanent fix, what i gather is that it happens when the memory is full, thus the 'fix' reboots the box which clears the memory. All i seeing is said is 'call faults'...maybe somebody else could help you here...
