handset instructions

I have an ntl d5100 digital telephone system, with base and 3 handsets. To cover a garden workshed I've obtained an older handset, a D455, to add to the system, but I have no instructions whatsoever and cannot work out how to get it to register with the D5100 base?
Can anyone help with instructions?

IIRC to register a handset you hold the page button on the base down for approx 10 seconds till it beeps, then go through the handset menus to register to the base...

Thats what you do on my old BT one also.

You also need the base station pin number. Hope you set it to 0000 or can remember it.

You may be able to change it from a registered handset.
