Can someone send me my Password (NTL)

I have just re-installed windows (virus) and i completely forgot to export my ftp data....which included the ntl password. ( i know the username but cant recall the password)

I couldnt access the ntl webspace when i had ntl installed and someone from this forum (i had a different username) kindly sent the details via a letter to my home address. is it possible for someone to help me again please?

I cannot ring ntl because i have no phone line installed at the house.

Thankyou

Re: Can someone send me my Password (NTL)

hello heyyo

there is a 'send me my password' link *click here*

but bear in mind the password for http & email access, may not work for ftp, if you have ever changed it, since registering.

ftp often 'sticks' with the original username/password combo you were first given by ntl, so if, even after using the above link, it still doesn't work, you can try the original password, or, you may have to contact technical support, to get it sorted.

You did set up an email addy, as email & webspace are set up at the same time & with the same username.

Either try ringing tech support within the next 20 mins or call them tomorrow, they'll be able to help.

They will not give the password to you if the account holder is not present.

Unless you are a named authority on the account, the password will not be given. This is a requirement of the Data Protection Act and won't be contravened under any circumstances I'm afraid.

The only way round this will be to get your father to ring in and get the info.

If you ring tech support, they can send a (snail mail) letter to the account holder with the details on. This will obviously mean you have to wait for it to arrive, but is the only alternative i'm afraid!
