Sky to Launch More Channels on ntl:home
Officially announced by ntl:home here, by Media Guardian here and on another forum here
Channels launching by the end of July 2003 will be Sky One Mix, Sky Travel, Sky Travel Extra, Scuzz, Amp and Flaunt!
The question is will the channels be sensibly placed i.e. Sky One Mix straight after Sky One?

Great news though that they are coming on! Channel placement has always been a bit hit and miss on NTL and i think the whole thing needs a shake up. I'm just glad to see Sky One Mix.

They'll probably bung them with the other new ones in the 900 range in the original area.

Well there is a gap between 140 and 144.
Is there any technical reason they can't stick Sky One mix in there?
On a related note does anyone know for definate when E4+1 is launching?

so gap between 140 and 144 on original ntl areas.
and gap 33-39 on ex-cwc. ntl could use the brains and place them in a sensible place. and e4+1 on 145 (striaght after e4 144).
sensible!

Well, not really. It makes no difference to Alias really as it is still showing on Saturday or Sunday on Sky One. Admittedly, it's at an awkward time but that's what VCR's are for aren't they?
After July, you'll be able to watch it on Sky One Mix on Monday nights I think. Perhaps a Sky viewer can confirm the night and time.

Are the extra channels going to be part of the base pack ? I'd guess that from the wording of the press release, but it is rather vaugue.

From elsewhere the new channels start on July 31st. Sky One Mix, and the two Travel channels are basic, the music channels are family tier.
