Angry Sky One picture freeze!

Has anyone experienced picture freezing tonight...I missed the last 10 mins of Haunted cause my STB just froze, I reset 4 times, then got frustrated and went for a beer!

I came back it 5 mins later and it works again, missed the end of my prog though

Happened tonight at 9.50 - 10pm, complete STB freeze. Reboot it occurs again, I left it on the freeze and eventually unfroze.

Wouldn't it be handy if people actually filled out their location in their profile? Other people would know if they were fed from the same headend and engineers could comment on any problems/work being done.

Ok, its not my platform, so I don't know what else is in the same stream, but I doubt it is restricted to a single channel. I have sight of all current national faults and there is nothing affecting Sky One. I think you have a level problem affecting at least one multiplex. If you can wait until tommorow then I should be able to suggest other channels which may be affected.
However, I would record the issue on your VCR, call CS and get a tech out to it.

The amps in the green boxes can be affected by high temperature. The amount of amplification they give can vary with high temperatures. As the amplification varies, the signal levels getting to your box also vary.
As the streetcabs cool the levels should return back to normal.

Is there any fix that would help the customer ventilation for example

Ventillation allows dirt and dust into the cabinets. Catch 22.

Ever since that night I've lost my internet connection a few times and have had to reboot my STB.

Does anyone know what's going on?

If you keep losing your connection check and note the snr and return power when its working also note the weather .

do this when in fault mode you should see a difference.

Also check that your firewall is allowing the IP to be refreshed
