i had to post this excellent interview:

The bus has two bathrooms: one for Avril, the other for everyone else. "There's always **** on the floor with guys," she complains, disgusted. Taubenfeld just shrugs and moves toward the front of the coach to examine the TV.

"You do a lot more growing between the ages of 16 and 19 than you do from 27 to 30," she says with authority. "Sometimes I'm immature, but most of the time I've got a handle on things. Other people my age go to school, then pursue their career, then get a job, and I'm kind of there. I have a house. I have a job. It's like, 'What's next?' "

thats what i love about her, professionalism and then does what she wants.....

Kronas-if you believe for one moment the image that she is trying to portray is genuine ("I don't have wardrobe people to make me look good, it's just me & my suitcase") kind of thing, then I think you are being sucked in my friend.

Artists as successful as AV are prepped & preened to appeal to a particular audience-same as any artist. She may not have an entourage the size of say Britney or Beyonce, but that is surely because (& no offence here), she is nowhere near as bigger star?

Unfortunately these days the vast majority of artists are moulded to their particular target audience, only the groups/ artist that are already big names and have history/ sales behind them and therefore more control over their contracts can be who they want Avril is not that big a name yet Kronas, sometime down the road maybe but at the moment she is being shaped and prepped for all her appearances.
Maybe sometime in the future she will have grown enough to be able to say what she wants and be who she wants but for now the record company is boss.
