Please can anyone help, disconnection probs, with wireless

Ive been struggling with disconnection problems and just dont know what the problem can be now, if i try to summarise my set up and situation I would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions.

I changed my laptop approx 4 weeks ago and have set up wireless connection which seems initially to work ok (had no probs on previous laptop)

I play a lot of online poker and never had disconnection problems in the past but now it cuts me off every 20 or 30 minutes and then will reconnect
(a 30 second cut off can can be costly in poker, thats the problem)

telewest broadband
works ok wired, no disconnections
tried a sweex wireless router and bought new peak wireless router last week - no difference i still have same problem - connections drops but then comes back on after 30 seconds to a minute
i connect with same laptop at work and at my parent house and have no problems at all
i have tried changing from default channel 11 to channel 5 on the router, no difference
i have encrypted
i have unplugged cordless phone etc so no interference
i have asked telewest to double the speed last week, no difference

would really appreciate any help, its driving me mad

thanks
si

Try temporaly turning off encryption. Mine sometimes disconnects for 2-5 seconds every 10-20 mins with encryption on but stays connected fine with it off.
