I need to write a letter, can anyone suggest a completely free to download and free to use word processor please?

I'd second LibreOffice but the suite is quite "heavy" for just a letter, Google Docs maybe better suited.

Actually Micro$oft are doing away with WordPad, not that I ever used it. I've used and liked OpenOffice, and 'heavy' or not, I like Libre Office even more.

They are taking it out of 24H2 but it can still be installed from Store

The good thing about GoogleDocs is that it is all within the browser so no installation needed.

Same as Office 365 on Office.com totally free and in browser
