Re: Bluetooth

The COM port is a virtual com port via Bluetooth (Ie. an access port to your phone) now the bad news, there's a problem with the nokia software and 6310's and bluetooth especially when using a Micro$oft driver. Have a look on nokias support/forums for ideas. Never got mine working correctly either (same kit), my laptop will connect fine to my PDA (IPAQ) and my IPAQ connects fine to the phone!!!

Most bluetooth software packages create virtual com ports. Check the device manager you may find you have a string of them. You do need to make sure that you have set up a pairing between the phone and the pc or they wont talk to each other.

The blue tooth software will normaly let you map a particular phone service to a port.

Re: Bluetooth

I can't connet my 6600 with the Nokia software, use the Belkin software that came with my dongle and it works a treat.

Look on www.dabs.com for blue tooth dongles. I had a pair for £50 a while back from BluTek I think.
Had no problems with my 6310i once I found out what the blutek software had set the bluetooth virtual com port to.
