Word Password

I'm trying to open a word document that I password protected but I forgot it, I've tried my password combinations but no luck.

Is there anything I can use to tell me my password, or even just the first few letters will help?

Re: Word Password

nothing I know of to crack the password, but if you open it read only & 'save as a web page' the new document is no longer password protected.

Re: Word Password

I've had this problem in the past, and haven't been able to find a free solution. This application (http://www.intertek.org.uk/downloads/word.html) says it will do the trick for a few quid, but I've not tried it myself.
