ISP recommendation- maximum 3 month contract
Hi all,
I need to find an ISP in NW London with whom you can sign up for a period of no longer than 3 months, or if it is a 12 month contract, where you can move house and continue the existing contract without incurring extra charges.
ntl and Telewest are both unavailable, and most adsl suppliers have a minimum 12 month contract. Virgin adsl have a 1 month contract but are not an option because i've used them before, and wouldn't do again.
For an ADSL isp i realise a BT line is required, there is a line in the property at the moment that needs activating, will this trigger a 3 month contact with bt, or a 12 month contract? if it is 12 months, can you move house in contract and continue it at the new address?
TIA for any advice

I can recommend Nildram
They have monthly contracts, and a wide range of products. I think almost all isp's will charge something for moving to new premises, but nilly are quite reasonable. See here.
As for the line rental, I'm fairly sure you can cancel a BT line at any point.

Thanks will look into the options, at first glance all the packages have a £47 activation charge except for the 512k, but is certainly worth considering

Yes its the 12 month contracts that have free activation but you still have to be careful as one ISP has it hidden away in the T&C that if you leave before 5 yrs they charge you to leave unles you paid the activation fee.

Give IDNet a call, on freephone 0800-0267-237. Monthly contracts, and all support given over this freephone number, including tech support & customer services, (UK Based) they can even set up your account this way, highly recommended.
