Broadband speeds in Bromley

Hey,

My NTL broadband connection has been incredibly slow for the past few weeks. Last night I was getting download speeds of about 5kbps, which is less than my old modem managed - and at least with my old modem it made a nice 'ding-ding-ding kerthunk' noise when I connected, which I kinda miss.

Has anyone else locally been experiencing slow speeds? Do you think there's anything I can try? I really don't want to have to phone NTL's customer 'service'.

Thanks in advance :-)
