Re: loss of connection

Hello all

I also have the problem of network disconnection on a regular basis, ie every day at some point.
I have the 10Mg connection (Hmm....dubious) through a wireless router, but hard wird via ethernet. My operating system is XP home on a brand new pc. There is also a laptop connected wirelessly which sporadically drops the connection. The "repair" function on the icon does not resolve the situation stating IP address cannot be found.
There is no warning or specififc activity which causes this, but it is simply resolved by unplugging then replugging the power source from the router. Connection is reestablished when the IP address is found.

Any ideas

Thanks, Kmax

to the forum.

That sounds like a problem with the router or signal reception. Is the laptop OK connected via an ethernet wire to the laptop.

Havn't tried. I'll try switching them around and see. It could be a day or two before signal drops.
