Well this old chestnut keeps being resurrected-I wonder why?

Whatever.......use with caution where immature minds are concerned......

Re: Violent games 'affect behaviour'
Biggest potential risk to bad behaviour... parental role models.
I'd wager that kids learn more abusive, disrespectful and violent behaviour from close family and friends than they would from elsewhere.
Moving blame onto minor but semi-legitimate causes is a cop out IMO.
On the other hand I do know of plenty of kids that are allowed to play/view material that I would never go near myself.

Re: Violent games 'affect behaviour'
Kids act out what they see on telly. The anecdoatal evidence for this has been around for years and I tend to think this latest research should be filed under the heading 'No ****, Sherlock'.
I agree with Paul, however, there are far more influential role models. I see a lot more of myself and my wife in our three-year-old's behaviour than I do anything he sees on TV.
