200Kbps is not enough when I run a HTTP and FTP server. 512Kbps would be more suitable.

Soon (January) you will be able to upgrade to 10MBit/s which comes with an upload speed of 512kbit/s for free anyway...
You just need to be patient

I know but I intend to download a lot so it would be nice to have the unlimited usage rather than 75gb. I was just wondering if I could pay for an increase on my 2Mbps service or not.

I don't believe you can do that. Although I am prepared to be corrected.

OK thanks for the replies. Ill ring CS next week when I get chance. Im having huge problems with my server at the moment. My new motherboard and cpu I bought just 2 days ago has given up the ghost so that has to go back.
Now Im using a Slot 1 P3 500MHz SCSI server *ugh*
Bad day for me.

Windows 2000 would be a better choice of OS on that Spec than Windows XP

Re: Is it possible to get an upload speed increase if I pay a little extra?
Ive run Windows XP on a 200MHz PI system with 96MB RAM and it booted up faster than my fresh install of XP on my 2GHz, 512MB RAM laptop
I know what im doing, leave me to it
PS, my friend has run it on a pre pentium 486 (33mhz) pc before with just 64MB of RAM, and it didnt do too bad.

Are you sure? I'm not sure WinXP would run on something as low spec as that...

I've had XP running on a 64mb machine with a p166... But I wouldn't want to repeat the experience

Well it runs XP, takes about 4 mins to boot up but it works. Its a little slow when it comes to actually doing stuff with it.
At least we proved it could be done.

Re: Is it possible to get an upload speed increase if I pay a little extra?
i ran XP on a celeron after taking all but 32MB of ram out by mistake once... worked, but booting took 15-20 mins!
the usable minimum for XP is usually quoted as 128MB, IIRC...

Re: Is it possible to get an upload speed increase if I pay a little extra?
The box says minimum 64MB but recommended is 128MB.
Also, minimum 233MHz, but recommended 500MHz. This is on an XP Home box. I run professional but have lost the box.

Annnnnyway back on the topic (title), no, it doesn't work like that and you won't get a tailored upgrade like that.

No. The 2 meg will remain at 200K upload. The only way to get more will be to switch to the 10M/512K service, which btw will not have a 75GB cap unless you pay £37.99 (£34.99 in 2006). The cap will be lower (30GB I believe).
