my broadband connection is upstairs but i want one down stairs...i got a ntl 'TV' point in there...can i plug my modem into this and get on tinternet,or is it not going to work...if not, why,and how can i fix it with out ntl getting involved and letting them run more cables around my house.!!
not sure if that would work!! but you could always opt for a router, the linkysys wrt54g seems popular with everyone. then you could either opt to have a length of enet cable to the pc downstairs...or go the wireless route and have no cables trailing around the house
Yes it uses the same point. Not sure whether you need a splitter fitted by Ntl at the tv point though. Ntl fitted one for me when i moved mine downstairs.
