Question TV Option

Hi all,

I currently have the 2MB BB service from NTL and sky for our TV. With my dad not working now anymore (got laid off then had various operations) money is a bit tight at the moment and im the only one earning in the household at the moment (mum's disabled). Currently we have sky @ £40 p/m, this includes the skysports and family packages.

I would like to know what the cost would work out to if we went with ntl to have the same/similar package. i have looked on their website and its a bit confusing as as it gives 3 different packages for sky sports alone?

Any help is greatfully appreciated.

Regards
Wakar

PS we have BT phone line but is restricted to only incoming calls only.

Re: TV Option

I am sure somebody will be able to provide more details on pricing but NTL closely matches Sky's prices so it would probably be around the £40 pcm.

However, you must also note that you will also have to take a NTL phone line with the TV (if you do not already have it) at an extra £10.50 per month.

Re: TV Option

I would recommend you give Sky a call and tell them you can't afford the Sports and Movies packs anymore.

I know people who have done this and got a discount or a free period.

The package you're looking for is the Family Pack with Sky Sports Collection, which costs £35pm. As someone else has already pointed out though, you would also be required to transfer your phoneline to ntl.

Re: TV Option

Or with money being tight you could just get rid of it fullstop. Thats what I'd do.
