Re: Worth It?
Not IMO. £160 isn't much, yes, but to run XP with any decent speed you'll need a faster processor, def not a Duron, and twice as much RAM.

Re: Worth It?
i run XP on a 1.2Ghz AMD and its fine, depends what you want it for.
Must admit im about to buy a new machine, but still, for browsing and WP etc it would be ok.
You do need a bit memory though

You could, but you'd have more difficulty because of its age.

Re: Worth It?
that will easily run Windows XP, I know it's a bloaty resource hog but it's not THAT bad! I satisfactorily run XP on my PIII 833MHz laptop with 64Mb RAM.
I wouldn't pay more than £100 for that system though. Upgrading the CPU would be difficult due to the age of the parts (if it's at all possible).

Re: Worth It?
The main reason I wouldnt buy this is that there is little you can do to upgrade it.
OK you can increase the RAM and processor, but you wouldnt get far.
You would need a new motherboard for the latest processors and a new type of RAM.
It would be fine for browsing the web, but if you are looking for a machine to last you a while and let you do a few things apart from web surfing, then go for something else.
You'd be better off saving up a bit more. For about £300 youl get something better.

Re: Worth It?
Not too bad, depends on what you want it to do. How much is it? (The graphics card is a bit of a let down)

Re: Worth It?
About the same, plus I'd say XP was better than ME, which IMO is worse than 98. Plus, MS have stopped making it haven't they?
That PC is powerful enough to run XP.
