I myself bought wireless G router on advice from PC world and tried to connect my NTL/AOL broadband modem through. I tried to change the modem connection from USB to ethernet without success any ideas please

Belkin wireless router via NTL/AOL

Please advise if there is any way I can configure the Belkin routeror even the NTL/AOL modem via ethernet connection> Aol are as always very unhelpfull and will not answerany questions on the subject except to say I have to change to BT line.

You have powered off (switched off the electiricty) to the modem, left it at least 30 seconds off, then switched on, having meantime disconnected the USB and connected the ethernet?

Thanks, powered off and the modem recognised the ethernet connection but still the router cannot find the internet connection.

any other advice

I may be wrong,but I think the router needs to be set for a PPPOE connection from AOL.

The modem is a Lucent win modem model no. 60194E-A12
