Replacement Remote for Scientific Atlanta Analogue Box?

One of our remotes has just stopped working today. Tried a spare remote, we originally had 3 boxes but cancelled one so we had a spare remote, and that is dead too. Tried the one I use and it works on both boxes.

Changed batteries from the good remote into the two that have stopped working and no go on both boxes, they are both dead. The one good remote works with both boxes so it appears we have two dead remotes.

The boxes are the Scientific Atlanta models, so can these still be replaced? If so, do I ring it in as a fault?

Cheers for any help!

Re: Replacement Remote for Scientific Atlanta Analogue Box?

Have rung 150 and reported the remote as faulty.

They are sending a new remote (3-5 working days) and I'm told to just return the faulty one when the new one arrives, i think there is a jiffy bag or something to return it in.

SmileyMan, thanks very much for the offer, may need your services when the remote gets lost in the post

Re: Replacement Remote for Scientific Atlanta Analogue Box?

Well, the remote arrived this morning and is working, nice one NTL

Looks nothing like the remote I'm sending back but the letter mentioned that. I just have to put the faulty remote in a bubble wrap liner and then into a blue Returns bag along with a tear off slip with the reason for the return and post it, then it's all sorted.

Do you think they'll bitch about no batteries being returned in the remote, because I used them in my mouse when the remote went faulty
